Taking a break

Last week, started on Tuesday embarked on a journey through old kampung roads, a 1,200km journey from Rawang -> Senawang -> Kuala Pilah -> Batu Kikir -> Bandar Muazam -> Rompin -> Kuala Rompin -> Tanjung Gemok -> Endau -> Penyabong -> Mersing -> Mawai -> Tanjung Sedili -> Jason Bay(Telok Mahkota) -> Sedili Kecil -> Bandar Penawar -> Ayer Tawar 3 -> Telok Sengat -> Johor Bahru -> Rawang.

Along the way between Batu Kikir & Bandar Muazam encountered wild boars on the roadside, giant monitor lizard along Mersing-Mawai road, and another one being hit by a lorry while crossing the road. managed to sight a pair of hornbill near sedili, a black cobra (Ophiophagus hannah) in the middle of the road trying to attack a motorcyclist. And all the way sighted a lot of monkey & macaques....

Spend a night at Penyabong in Endau, Johor, an economical beach resort with swimming pool near the fishermens' jetty. From the beach we can see in the distance island; "Kelong Aceh" famous among anglers & tourists from Singapore, fish trap built on stilt above the sea and built-in with rooms to rent (chalet-like), restaurant and other facilities for fishing....

Nice scenery, great for getaways.... away from the hectic life of Kuala Lumpur, very tranquil, good food... grilled fresh seafood....

Sunrise

From Endau town to Penyabong we encountered a lot of goats and cows crossing the roads and a lot of their droppings on the road.
