Abuse of I.S.A.

Thank god, they released the journalist, but I was really dumbfounded by Syed Hamid's reason that her life was in danger and police had to detain her under ISA. WTF, is he talking about?

If she is in danger, why ISA. Perhaps the police can put her under 24 hour surveillance and to protect her? What about her right or her families right to meet during the detention.

I also read somewhere in today's newspaper that SH claimed he was unaware of the ISA arrest, again WTF, who has the authority to sign the ISA arrest orders. He is the Minister, don't tell me deputy IGP since IGP is on medical leave, or ordered by Pak Lah, in both instances shows SH is just sitting there and the last person to know anything. In that case I also want to become Menteri, every month "dapat gaji" and allowances.

Now, not only the opposition are disputing the act, even the Ministers and several BN component parties are disputing the action. Is our national security under threat? NO.

The act is totally outrageous as the person who made seditious remarks in public are not arrested but the person reporting it were being detained and another without factual document scott-free instead the MP who merely received a c.c. copy of request to reduce the sound from the mosque was detained.

This is totally bias, I agree with statements made by Zaid and the Associtaion of Former BN MPs (Mubarak) on this issue that the authority must not be biased on their action and ISA is only when National Security is at risk.
